Galeria Mokotow is one of the most visited shopping malls in Warsaw. Every day it is visited by crowds of people who come to buy more clothes, electro-gadgets, everyday products, food or cosmetics. Virtually every one of these things has an impact on the environment which we know not from today. Starting with the way they are manufactured, the means and materials used, the delivery, and the way we dispose of things that are broken or no longer needed. Each of us has some degree of influence on what happens around us. To show the possibilities of taking care of nature, Elle and Galeria Mokotow organized an ecological fair for the gallery’s customers.

That’s why Galeria Mokotów, together with the Elle brand, decided to create a place where we can learn about ways to use recycled materials to create new eco-friendly accessories such as handbags or jewelry. For the most active, there were also very nice eco-friendly shopping bags, which you can find in the photos. You could also get sets of natural cosmetics by Vianek.
Activities for children in Galeria Mokotow
During the fair, activities were organized for children, where they could re-create, for example, baskets – instead of wicker – using recycled materials. The effect is the same – children can learn to braid straws, created from compressed newspapers, while not using natural materials. In this way, something that could have ended up in a landfill gets a new life.
How to make a forest in a jar?
During the Elle fair in Galeria Mokotow, you could also try your hand at creating small forests in jars. They look great, and at the same time are easy to care for, which is appreciated by many people who want to have something green at home. Children and adults could take part in the activity.

We think we know a lot about ecology, but sometimes we only think we know a lot. That’s why during the fair you could take a quiz and test your knowledge with a series of questions.
Organic cosmetics
Ecology, is not only about using materials that can be easily recycled and disposed of, but also natural ingredients. Many products contain a lot of chemicals that affect us and our environment, while in nature we have plenty of natural ingredients that can be used. The Elle fair featured natural cosmetics and food products, which could also be tested on site.
