Event video

Event video you do not have to organise

The photography is booked, and video only comes up now. What is left is finding a crew, checking them, agreeing the scope, and chasing the edit.

I do not shoot it myself. It is shot by a crew I have worked with for years. I pick the people for your event, agree the scope with them, and take delivery of the material. You only talk to me.

Who shoots it

I do not shoot it myself, and that is the point

It is shot by someone from the crew I have worked with for years. The line-up is stable, so I am not looking for someone new for every booking. For each event I pick the person who fits its character.

A conference with talks from the stage needs different skills than a trade fair, where what matters is the movement around the stand. I am responsible for the whole job, and I take delivery of the material before it reaches you.

One contact, one responsibility

I handle video the same way I handle photography

You do not have to find a crew, check their availability, agree the scope, or chase the edit. That is the work I charge a margin for, and I say so plainly.

I pick the crew

A conference with talks from the stage is cast differently than a trade fair, and differently again than an evening gala.

I agree the scope

Length, format, music, and delivery date. Those four decide the price and whether the film can actually be published.

I take delivery

You get the finished film from me. I do not send you off to talk to an editor.

When photography and video run together, both crews get the same plan for the day and the same list of what has to be in the material. That is why the partner who appears in the photos also appears in the film.

Separately or together

Two companies at one event means twice the arrangements

Photography and video can be booked separately. More often, separately means two briefs, two schedules, and two people who meet for the first time on the day of the event.

When you book separately

You run the arrangements twice, there are two delivery dates, and nobody makes sure the photographer and the camera stay out of each other’s shot during the awards.

When both parts go through me

You say once what has to be in the material. The partner who appears in the photos also appears in the film. There is one delivery date and one person to settle with.

Pricing

What it costs

I give you the lower limit, so you know straight away whether we are talking about the same budget.

Video production

from PLN 3,000 net

A typical one-day event and an aftermovie of up to 3 minutes. I give the exact figure once the scope is agreed and the date confirmed with the crew.

The final price depends on the number of days and hours of filming, work in the evening, the number and length of the deliverables, interviews and stage sound, and the delivery deadline. I work across Poland, and travel outside Warsaw is quoted separately.

What is included, and what I add separately

An aftermovie of up to 3 minutes, ready to publish

  • An aftermovie of up to 3 minutes from the whole event.
  • Music licensed for online publication.
  • A format matched to where the film is going.
  • Picking the crew and agreeing the scope before the event.
  • Delivery: 10 working days from the day after the event.

Available separately, once the scope is agreed:

  • Short vertical clips for social media, up to 45 seconds, with subtitles.
  • Full recordings of talks or presentations, on top of the summary film.
  • Pieces to camera: speakers, guests, board members.
  • Raw footage, if your team wants to cut shorter versions themselves.
  • A second camera, when several things happen at the same time.
  • Drone shots outside the building, if the weather, the site, and the regulations allow. There is no drone over people inside a hall.

I quote each of these once the scope is agreed, because each one changes the time on site or in the edit.

Questions and answers

The questions that always come up

Who shoots it, how quickly you get the material, and what can still change two weeks before the event.

Who exactly will be shooting?

Someone from the crew I have worked with for years. The line-up is stable. For each event I pick the person who fits its character, because a conference with talks from the stage needs different skills than a trade fair. I am responsible for the whole job, and I take delivery of the material before it reaches you.

Can I book video only, without photography?

Yes. If the photography is already covered, I can handle the video side on its own.

When do I get the material?

An aftermovie of up to 3 minutes is delivered within 10 working days from the day after the event. If you need it sooner, say so when you enquire, not after the event. A faster edit can usually be arranged, but it affects either the scope or the price.

Can video still be added two weeks before the event?

Sometimes yes, but it depends entirely on whether anyone in the crew is free on that date. The price and scope can be settled in a day; a free date with a good crew usually cannot. Write as soon as you know that video is on the table.

Will I get the raw footage?

Yes, if we agree on it before the event. As standard the raw material comes in a flat profile, which looks washed out and needs grading before publication. If your team is going to edit from it, say so in advance, because the files then have to be prepared differently.

Send the date, the place, and rough hours

That is enough for a first conversation about video. If you already know what the film is for, write that too, because it changes the scope more than the running time does.
