June 7 and 8, 2022 were special for me. I participated as an event photographer in the BLISKO conference in Gdynia, aimed at librarians and librarians from all over Poland. The participants were the desciants of the BLISKO grant competition, organized by the National Cultural Center as part of #NPRCz 2.0, and co-organized by the Gdynia Municipal Public Library.
First day
The first day of the conference took place at the Gdynia Film Center and was full of interesting events. The program included, among other things, panel discussions on the pillars of the “third place” and the use of research results in the creation of the institution’s offer. During the networking workshop, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and establish potential collaborations. I, as a photographer, had the opportunity to capture all these special moments.
Second day
The second day was equally intense. Participants took part in 6 parallel service design workshops, combined with study visits to branches of the Gdynia Municipal Public Library and the The Culture Station – a branch of the Municipal Public Library named after the late Wojciech K. K., is a branch of the Municipal Public Library. . To było wspaniałe doświadczenie, dla mnie jako fotografa, uwiecznienie tych momentów i uchwycenie atmosfery konferencji było bardzo inspirujące.
The BLISKO conference was part of the training support for the descipients of the grant competition and was supported by funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the implementation of the National Reading Development Program 2.0 for 2021-2025. It was an exceptional
Study visits
On the second day, BLISKO conference participants had the opportunity to participate in 6 parallel service design workshops, the topics of which focused on designing the library’s offerings for different audiences. As part of these workshops, participants visited branches of the Municipal Public Library in Gdynia and Station Culture – a branch of the Florian Ceynowy Municipal Public Library in Rumia.
Photo report from the conference
As event photographer, taking part in the BLISKO conference in Gdynia, I had the opportunity to capture on photos not only the conference itself, but also the moments of joint exchange of experiences and integration of participants. The conference was a great opportunity to develop your skills and make new contacts, as well as learn about new solutions and trends in the library industry.
I am very proud to have had the opportunity to participate in such a worthwhile event and capture its unforgettable moments in photos that will become part of my portfolio as an event photographer.
