Event photographer, freelancer, traveler and blogger
About me
Marcin Krokowski – Event Photographer
I won’t write here that I have had a camera in my hands since I was a child, I found it in the attic and since then photography has become my greatest passion. I am not a philosopher of photography, nor do I pose as an artist.
I love photography. It comes out really well, and the satisfaction of capturing the right moment is something that drives me forward. I started by photographing friends, models and abandoned places, and then the camera began to accompany me everywhere. I photographed literally everything – and it has stayed with me to this day.

My passions and interests
In addition to traveling (preferably as far away as possible and with my camera 馃摳), I’ve always kept fit and healthy – weight training, cardio, running, and more recently squash and paddle. I used to even c’walk dance, because I like to learn new skills.
I am interested in new technologies – not only in photography, but also in everyday life. Especially if they make my work or daily chores easier. I treat artificial intelligence as a tool, not a threat. I read a lot and am constantly developing myself, both in photographic and business topics. The list of courses I’ve started and books waiting to be read is already long.
How did my adventure in event photography begin?
I was studying for a degree in advertising organization. At the same time, together with a groupmate, and sometimes by myself, I attended various parties and events with only one camera, lens and flash. I photographed events in clubs of my own choosing – snowboarding competitions (in the club’s garden), dance parties (I also danced myself) and other events.
Over time, event organizers started asking me to prepare event photo coverage that they could use to promote their events. At the time, I treated it as an activity – I didn’t expect event photography to become my profession.

What kind of photographer am I today?
I have been involved in the event industry for over 13 years. I photograph events for international brands, local companies, as well as smaller, intimate events. I feel best in documentary-style coverage. I like challenges and have worked in almost every setting – from elegant galas to dynamic sporting events.
Outside of work, I love taking my camera (or at least my phone) on trips. I like to show new places in a non-obvious way – if I have to take a photo just like everyone else, I prefer to just enjoy the view with my own eyes. Maybe that’s why I don’t have an “instagram” account, but instead I have a blog Urbanflavour.co.uk, where I share stories of travel and photography.
